Third Party Inventory Accuracy Check
A German DIY store chain offering home improvement and do-it-yourself goods required the support of RGIS. The DIY chain has 144 stores across Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovakia and Romania; offering home improvement products such as home appliances, tools, household hardware, garden supplies and plants.
REQUIREMENT
The DIY store chain needed an environmentally friendly solution to check the accuracy of a third party stock count, so required RGIS to provide the following:
- Accuracy to be a priority
- Counts to be completed overnight so not to disrupt staff, customers or business
- Check variances from third party inventory completed
SOLUTION
The DIY store chain partnered with RGIS to complete the inventory accuracy check project, and provided the following:
- Scheduled teams of experienced RGIS auditors for each store
- Checked all variances against third party inventory count
- Counted all items in stores with pen and paper
- All counts were completed overnight, out of hours
RESULTS
The DIY store chain found by outsourcing the inventory accuracy check project to RGIS, the following results were achieved:
- Reporting was received in the format requested
- Variances were identified from the previous third party inventory count
- Accuracy achieved to the customers satisfaction
- Overnight counts meant there was no disruption to the customer’s business
